Eolas / About Us

Coláiste Aodáin is located 35km west of Galway city in one of the strongest Gaeltachts in the country. We deliver Irish Language courses to students between the ages of 10 and 18 years using the most modern and effective language learning techniques.

Our unique and extensive experience in teaching, school development planning and psychology have enabled us to create a course catering for learning styles and group behaviour in order to meet the individual needs of our students. An emphasis is placed on providing opportunities to participate in our many and varied activities. Our aim is that students leave with much improved language abilities and an enhanced love and appreciation for both the language and culture.

Our focus on developing self-esteem and social skills through team-work and leadership activities are unique to our Coláiste and result in benefits to the students in all aspects of their lives.

Tithe Lóistín / Guesthouses

Students are accommodated with families where Irish is the first language. This total emersion in the culture provides the best possible opportunity to improve and enhance their spoken Irish. Friends are accomodated together where possible.
